“Oh marvellous boy, I love you in vain!” Then he said, “Farewell.”
“Farewell,” said Echo.
Drawing from Ovid’s Metamorphoses, this sculpture explores narcissism and the hollow nature of echoed desire—self-love mirrored, and voices fading into imitation.
Digitally modeling the stem and petals, the internal skeleton is generated through Grasshopper’s parametric algorithms, reflecting how our realities are quietly shaped by algorithmic systems. What feels like exploration often unfolds within echo chambers—leaving the individual like a Narcissus slowly fading, silently lost within their own reflection.
